what rearend size does my 2011 FX4 have?
 
i'm looking to buy a Mag-Hytec rearend cover today, can anyone tell me is i have the 8.8" or 9.75" rearend in my 2011 F150 FX4 EcoBoost?

I am 99% sure it's a 9.75, I'll look for conformation.


This was from an excerpt from a blue oval forum talking about the axles in the Job 2 trucks.

"Job 2 absolutely is for the ecoboost engines. I heard the ecoboost was breaking the job 1 pinion shafts and thats why they went to a thicker super duty size pinion shaft. Also the upgraded bearings are a precaution for the Raptors not that ford is having any problems but want to be cautious is what i was told. Job 2 upgrades will be on all 9.75 axles however."


BTW why get a rear end cover?, just curious.

wiTowing my travel trailer is the primary purpose of this truck, i just figure it will help with keeping the rear diff cooler during towing. Also looks good.
