Default What is max top end on he tuned trucks

Just wondering what top end speed peeps have been seeing on the new trucks using the tuners to over ride the speed limiter.

I saw one guy post on here he had run to 125mph trying to get his tuner to post a 1/4 mile time.

The old dodge srt10 would run in the 152 mph range

I am sure all testing to be done on a closed course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a closed course, with speed limiter turned off and 91 5 star performance/tow tune, my truck run up to 128 mph (gps) and wouldnt go any faster. Felt like speed limiter was still in place! I was pushing the limit of the tires anyway.

First person to post something relating to breaking the speed limit on a road. Will get some time off.

https://www.f150forum.com/f15/street-racing-36203/

This will not be tolerated. Trucks are big and heavy and have speed limiters for a reason. If you find it nessicary to hold a grudge match with someone to prove who's "manhood" is bigger, take it to the track and don't risk the life of others on the road.

If you post a thread like the one below, expect it to be closed. If you continue to post threads like the one below, expect to experience some consequences (ie: time off).

This guy i know has been talking **** about his truck everytime i see him, claims his truck will smoke my fx4. So today I told him lets race an get it over with.

I dont know if anybody has noticed but if you press the gas pedal at the very top it revs and accerlates wayy faster then if you press it at the bottom or middle.

So we lined up and did the 3 beep an go, right off the line i was pulling on him till around 90 when i proved my point an slowed down lol. After the race he was sooo pissed haha. Figured id share that with you guys.
This also has to be edited to include "I found a way to get around my speed limiter and now my truck can go 112mph... here's where I did it and a pic.

Examples of reckless driving &/or exhibition of speed will also not be tolerated!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to PM myself or any other moderator.

Thanks

Is this site run by communist? Really, I agree that street racing is dangerous. But people are going to do it regardless of this site. so, I guess the people that came up with this rule are just naïve when people say oh yeah we did it on a close track.

Factory limiter is 100mph/160kmh

You can find that out on any 1/4 mile just keep pushing a bit past the line

I work @ a airport here in Texas and occasionally when the runways are closed for whatever reason & depending on the ATC - we will take a run down a 10,000 foot strip. Mine maxs out approx 95/96MPH with no tuner just plain stock

Took my Honda Blackbird 1100XX down the runway once in excess of 170MPH still not maxed out but close .

On my '11 XLT the speed limiter was set at 96mph - probably so as not to exceed the tires ratings.

These things are capable of exteme speeds - but what's good for a Mustang GT isn't necessarily good for a 5800# of F150, with tires rated for 99 mph

wow. take a chill pill man.

I've never gone over 75mph in mine but if there weren't a limiter it would all depend upon the gear ratio. The engine HP would run out before you run out of gear. Especially considering that at like 60mph I'm sitting at like 1400 rpm...with that math you'd be sitting well over 200mph...IF you had the HP of course...

I know I'm the wrong year, but my 08 2wd F150 with the 4.2 hit 106 GPS. It still had more but the track was ending lol and it's completely stock. 5 speed manual. It cuts out in 4th at a 100
