Default Ford extended warranty ESP

I bought my truck used about a year and a half ago. I have an extended warranty with ford and was wondering if anyone knows if the leather on the seats is covered through the ESP. My seats especially the drivers side has been showing a ton of wear since right after I got the truck. For a 2011 to have the cracks and all that it does is crazy. Let me know guys thanks

It depends on which Ford ESP you have, but I'd guess probably not. I'm not sure if there's an ESP that covers trim, but what you're describing sounds like normal wear and tear, which ESPs (and extended warranties in general) most likely wouldn't cover.

If you didn't get an ESP warranty guide, you can see what the various ESP plans cover here: http://fordprotect.ford.com/extended-service-plan

FWIW, I looked at the PremiumCare ESP, and it looks like it only covers electrical/mechanical parts. I'm pretty sure that interior/trim parts are only covered under the 3/36 factory bumper-to-bumper (though there may be some extra coverage for CPO vehicles).

Trim is not covered by any extended warranty that I have seen in my 30 years in the business....

I had my driver seat leather replaced on my 14 that had only two years of use under warranty, but the service writer seemed shocked they replaced it. I had only 20k miles and was surprised by the poor wear. Never hurts to try

I'm not shocked they replaced it at 20k. It's not "normal wear and tear" for a seat to be in bad condition in 20k miles... That's poor materials. That's bean counters deciding that the cheaper leather is good enough.

It’s funny my taillights are full of moisture and dirt from bad design or being flawed and they won’t replace those. I have never seen another set like them and I have had it in twice for it and I get the big no from ford and the dealer. Just funny how they pick and chose what to say is normal and what isn’t. Sorry for my rant just finished with being told no again.

At 2 years/20K miles, you were still under the factory bumper-to-bumper warranty, which is a different animal altogether. That covers a bunch of stuff that the ESPs don't.
