Default What ia this hose for and where does it connect??


getting new tires today on my 2011 Limited and discovered this mystery hose hanging down. Any idea what it is for and where it is supposed to connect?

Looks like breather hose...is that a T fitting or 1-way valve?

I just looked under my 2011 FX2. The hose goes up and plugs into a frame cross member almost directly above the axle and outboard to the left rear wheel. In my pic its the hose in the middle of the pic. Ignor the rust proofing encrusted with dirt as it's a Canadian snow-belt truck.


Differential vent hose plugged into cross member.

Thanks very much. Now I can put it back. Since I posted this earlier I also saw another thread about this where supposedly this vent hose helps to relieve pressure and prevents seal leaks
