Yes what we do is cut the wire at the harness and dont install the switch at all. We had alot of customers complain about the way it looks so we just stopped. If your not having an issue i wouldnt mess with it, it is a descent safety feature, especially if you do your own maintance, etc.

Well i went out and tried to start it with the hood up and it still worked. I will follow the wire to see if its a anti theft switch.

As said before, it is a mercury switch for an alarm or remote start. We do the same and just cut the wire

Ok so i guess they installed it but just cut the wire up under the dash because it dosnt function as an alarm either.

Then there is also this weird connector coming out of the roof liner i followed it to the a pillar and then didn't go any further. Any of you have any idea?
