if you get the same size as factory, they will usually bolt up in the same holes and everything. you can run any size you want, but you may need to make a new plate to bolt into the stock location with holes for your new speaker. Crutchfield.com can help u figure out what size speakers fit

If money is no object go Focal (except Access).
I had Infinity Kappa all around in my Dakota. They were pretty good.

I have Image Dynamics in my F-150. I'm very happy with them too.
I bought these for $240.00 a year ago:

These are essentially the same but will require an adapter plate:

All the door speakers in the F-150 are 6"x8" as far as I know. This is not the same as 6"x9".
6x8 or 5"x7" will bolt right in. Its no biggie to make an adapter and fit a 6.5" in either.

don't forget you have to match your speakers ohms with the power your running.....you don't want to be under powered or over powered , if you want the most out of your speakers..
I matched these to a Alpine V70 5 channel amp
Amp Kit with 4Ga/16ga/18ga
Stinger Fused Distribution Block
Audio Control - High Voltage levels/controls Bass level not to over power bass in speakers using a sub
12" MTX sub and custom box fiberglass box
4 rolls of dynamat to cover the whole 4 doors - this makes a huge difference even with stock power and new speakers, gives more bass and a fuller sound....
Keeping my stock deck for now, if I change it Im going to the New Pioneer 7" touch........It all gets installed Dec 20th..I can't wait

Did you take any pics of install. Much hassle or just plug and play? I bought Pioneers as well. Although they are better than stock, the stock radio still is crap. I am looking to upgrade the sound, but dont want something that can be heard acccross town. Just want decent sound for the price.
