Default What gears r ya running with oversized tires?

Hey all. I'm running a 10 SCAB 5.4L with 3.55's and 35x12.50x20 MT ATZ P3's. I'm looking to change gears in the diff's but unsure if I should go to 3.73 or 4.10's. I haul my 8000 lb camper 6/7 times a year on the hwy but other than that mostly in town driving. No off road. Just looking for some input. Thanks.

Most people seem to suggest going with 4.56 to make the gear change actually worth it. Especially if you are towing.

Idk 4.56's r pretty steep. Really like to hear from anyone who's done a gear swap on one.

Lots of people have done it on here and most that change go with the 4.56 but then again most eventually run 37's with big lifts.

Bare minimium go 4.10.

Thanks. I use the calculator before and got 3.88's I don't want to go to 3.73's and be disappointed. I'll prob just head to 4.10's like u suggested. Anyone know if the carriers from the 3.55's (8.8 & 9.75) will work with the 4.10 ring?

4.10 would put you closer to factory ratios and will give better mpgs for your daily trips. Thats what Id go to.

Thanks all. 4.10's is only a Raptor option. Parts can't tell me if the carriers are the same. 4.56's seem steep. If anyone's running them and can give me some info on how they perform that would be great.

Tremors and some FX4s also have 4.10 gears.

Do a search for member jonbar87 he had 4.56 gears installed.
