What floor mats
#31
I have the Ford mats and like them…. Do not like mats that can hold a lot of water from melting snow! Eventually it's a pita to deal with imo………. Also you climb in a super cold truck and what do you have……. FROZEN water in the mats! Honestly some water on the carpet isn't going to ruin it………
Ahh... that's the beauty of it. Just pull the Husky mat and shake the frozen water out. Takes all of 10 seconds to do it, and your carpet stays water and salt free.

If anybody wants my rear, tan color weather tech mat that has the cutout for the subwoofer cut out, pm me with an offer.
The mat is in good shape since it was covered by shipping blankets so my dogs would be comfortable but curls in the back. It is fine for humans.

I forgot to mention... it probably goes without saying, but I didn't buy Weathertech for my F-150. Instead I got Ford's OEM all weather mats. They are thick, heavy rubber and don't move around at all. Very happy with them. And you don't have to cut anything for the sub. Ford designed a specific set for trucks with the factory sub.
Best part... I paid $70 shipped to my door.

We have weather techs in out work pickup trucks and I think they are garbage. Especially for the price. I LOVE the oem all weather mats I got. Thick, heavy rubber that stays put like mentioned before. And I got front and back for 85 bucks. I think they look better too. Looks less rugged but in reality are way more durable than weather techs. I highly recommend them.

Honestly that's just everyday family use. Kids getting in and out multiple times each day, trips to costco, family road trips, etc. We don't even use them year around, just winter time. I'm much prefer the look and feel of the oem carpet mats.
I hadn't thought to try a heat gun. Might work.
Honestly though, much of my issue with WT is just the way they handled the warranty. I buy alot of firearms from American companies like Kimber, Springfield Armory, Ruger, Savage, Remington, Leupold, Vortex, etc. On occasion I've had customer service interactions with these great American companies and I'm always amazed at the personal touch and customer first treatment I receive. I mistakenly assumed Weathertech would be similar.
Now that I think about it, the businesd model is a high price, heavy advertisement, minimize warranty cost model. The PnL has high gross margins driven by the inflated pricing and low cost of sales (were talking about molded plastic, folks). Inventory is kept to a bare minimum which keeps write offs low, but explains why it takes so long to get your mats. warranty terms are lean further minimizing cos. From an opex perspective r&d and g&a are low (small company, with maybe one fte on the cad workstation, if that). That leaves s&m which is where the real investment is. Most of that money we give them funds the numerous print, tv, and web ads. Nothing wrong with this formula, I just would rather not fund it with my hard earned cash.
