2wd. Use it mainly for towing and a daily driver so I really don't have a need for 4wd (no snow down here). Didn't realize you were looking at a 4x4. I did look at a few used 2010s though and I encourage you to drive an 09-10 and a 11-13 side by side (if you haven't already) they are a bit different.

If you plan on getting a new one in 2014, I would just hold off and save your money. Put it aside for a sizeable down payment. If your current vehicle is in good shape and you aren't in fear of it giving up the ghost too soon, just hold onto it.

Well my f-350 6.4 diesel is awesome but i didnt end up getting the hauling job so now i have no use for it and for daily driver it is very expensive maintenance., payments are high, and up here in ny if ya dont drive a diesel alot in winter especially when they sit outdoors they get alot moisture in fuel and causes big problems... and i want to finance alot less amount at alot less term so i can get ready to buy the new truck in late 2014

Nice truck you are looking at. If it were me wanting that truck with that mileage, i'd like to pay 18 to 20 k. 22k seems too high. Good luck!

I never had a 4.6, but I have racked up a lot of miles on Ford trucks through the years.

1982 F-150: Bought new, sold at 280K miles, for $1200.
1998 F-150: Bought used w/125K miles, traded @ 180K for $3K (I think).

I think there are a lot of serviceable miles on a late model truck with 75K miles, but the trade value part of the equation declines at an accelerated rate.

I have a 2010 that drives as well as it did when new (it's a 4x4, but has never been in the mud). I traded my last F-150 @ 50K miles, but have decided to hold on to this one for a little while.

If the truck you're looking at, is clean, drives out good & doesn't appear to have spent the last two years of it's life in a mud bog, 75K miles wouldn't scare me, as long as I considered the trade value factor into the equation.

Im getting a good deal on trade in so numbers are where i want them just maybe you guys can give me opinions. I really like this truck..
If I were you I would take my time and shop around for a few more weeks, here is site you should check its great site and you can get an average price from it or find a truck. That seems high price for high milage and then you might get into the nickle and dime process in the end you would be paying more then what you are now......thats is the only downside of getting a high milage truck...

check out: Every Car Listed.com.......or sites like that, even if its far away different state shipping is usually cheap 500 - 1000 normally either by truck or rail..(thats just another option for you)..from what I seen you can get newer and less miles...just sayin.....TAKE YOUR TIME......LOL
the average price for the same kind of Miles you are looking at is around 18,000 -19,000. and most of those were Screws.......and I just did a quick check for 22,000 you can get 2010-2011 - 20 - 50 K screw cab and even if its a few states away you use that as amo and get them to lower there price when you find a alot better deal, then the one your looking at.... I spent 10 min just checking and found better deals, surf the sites...get a book out write down what you find and compare.....I do this alot when I buy anything, the deals I get keeps my buddies shaking there heads.....

good luck

Grant

Yea i have seen just a few alil cheaper but from a dealer that will give me $7k less on trade. And also chris sets his prices alil high but always comes down about 2-3k if youi have no trade and does very good flexing when you bring trade in. But from prices you stated on trucks similar i will try to squeeze. Alil more out of him. He also has a 2010good xlt with same options. But is red and has 5.4 with only 43k miles i might ask about that but i have never been a fan of 5.4

I love my 4.6L 3V. Yea a 5.0 would be great but I know Id stomp on it more and kill my MPG. But Its a great engine. It has done wht it needs too and then some. I got 13.5mpg towing over 7k lbs on a 170 mile trip with constant speed changes driving from key west and then going 70 on the remaining 40 miles. I think the price is a lil high with the mileage but it is a 4x4 and if you need a 4x4 and its gonna actually save you funds in the end jump on it. If you know you will be happy with it and its saving you money then those are defintely great reasons to jump on it.

It does look well kept. I just bought an 09 with 80,000 miles but I have all the maintainance records. I was able to call the past owner and he retired and bought a huge trailer and an F-350. The reason for the milage on mine is they traveled a lot. Even with that they changed the oil every 3000 miles and it looks and feels new.

well guys that truck will be mine sat (unless a miricale happens and he gets something better at same price haha) i shopped at the only other good dealer around that would give good trade inn but there prices were even higher on trucks comparable so.. i found good prices on new trucks and better prices on used but those dealers wont give me anything for trade so i would be even more in the hole... the truck still books for alil over 23k and i will be paying 2k in about a month on it so that makes me feel alil better about the price... just my situation..... just plan on paying on it like crazy so i can be out of the hole by late 2014
