Default What to do with old step bars

What did you guys do with your stock steps after swapping them out for aftermarket? Toss them out, hang onto them to swap back if you sell the truck or is there a market for take off steps?

There's totally a market for used takeoffs. Try Craigslist, Kijiji, etc.

I've been running ads in CL for 6 months for my FX4 boards (replaced w/ OEM Raptors) w/o success. Started at $275/pair and dropped to $175 w/o any inquiries at all. Same thing on OEM skids and exhaust. Seems not much market for takeoffs. As a small % of F150 owners, folks on forums like this tend to look for that kind of stuff. Most others just drive their trucks "as-is" until time for replacement.

^^
Personally, I hate selling on ebay with PayPal fee taken right off the top, then selling fee taken from remaining proceeds. CL is so much simpler. Post good pics, buyer comes see, then cash 'n carry. Issue for me is that I live in smaller town prox 100 miles from nearest major population areas which discourages would-be lookers.

Running boards go pretty fast in the sale threads.

Shipping those is a pain in the *** though so best to find someone local.
