What do I measure to see what kind of lift I have....
So I bought this incredible truck last week, and it has some sort of lift on it... Here's my problem... I have an Expediiton that I lifted, and an Explorer that I lifted, so I know what I did to them. But this is the first time I have purchased a vehicle that already had a level or lift.... I didn't even really notice it but then realized when I got it home that it was as big as my Expedition that has a 5 inch lift and 35's... My F150 has 285/65/20's which is pretty close to a 35 as well. Here are some pics.. Maybe you can let me know what I need to measure.
Sorry if it's a silly question, but everyone asks what kind of lift I have, and I don't know... Here it is next to my Expedition... Just as big.... https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...87da85d675.jpg And next to another F150... which really made me wonder what kind of lift I have.... https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...6a9efc26fe.jpg So here is the front... It's 3 inches bottom of puck to top of cover... https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...162edb1b7f.jpg And the rear... Is it the lighter colored block that I measure? Or both,,, The darker block is 1 inch, and the lighter one is 1 and a half.... https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...c22d7cca5f.jpg |
I know the Rough Country leveling kit gives you a block to stack on top of the existing one. Your shocks look white/silver also. Do you see any branding on them?
Combined with tires 3 inches taller than stock.....seems close. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...98ae04cc4e.jpg |
Only branding I see on it.... Pretty sure that is just the logo off the place that did the lift.. Off Road Canada... Same sticker in the back window... I'm going to guess 1 in the back and 2.5 in the front... Regardless... Love the stance of it...

Hey Ken!
This is totally crazy but I was the original owner of this truck, and its still gorgeous! To answer your question... When i bought the truck I installed a Rough Country 2.5" level kit and added the 1" rear Rough Country Block. I also added the premium rear shocks from rough country but it looks like they have been switched to "offroad canada" shocks...I had all the work done at Tireland (national auto) as well as the tires purchased and installed by them. Congrats on the new truck! Shes a beaut! |
