Trooper- yeah I had my concerns about the tranny behind the 6.2 also. Brand new 6 speed with that much HP could be trouble.

All I can say is that ford has really made some HUGE changes in the auto industry. After falling way behind they jumped straight to the top in 2 years. And on top of that they did it during a recession.

High 5 to the ford bosses. They finally started thinking out of the box and it had paid off big time.
I would have to somewhat agree. I am not typically an early adopter. I have fears in the back of my head about the longevity of the eco. only time will tell. come summer though, i'm back on two wheels (sometimes one) and she will be hauling my bikes to the tracks.

The videos convinced me. I'm not sure, but hasn't a version of this engine been used in the Taurus for a few years. Still a little nervous.

Yeah, I think the SHO had the eco or something like that in '09? I think also they were four cylinders. I am probably way off base though.

Yeah the SHO has the same Ecoboost v6 as in the trucks with 350 lbs of tourque instead of the 420 the trucks have. I just got one and I love it. In 2012 will be the first year for Taurus to have the Ecoboost 4 cylinder and also the flex has te 3.5 Ecoboost in it people have them with 445 horsepower so who knows what the truck can eventually do : )

2004 Hyundai Tiburon. With my X-Plan, and trade in I got my truck for 10k below the sticker. I'm very happy.

I think it actually started in the little box suv thing. I'm drawing a blank on the name. It looks like a tiny school bus lol
