What did you pay for your trucks
I will be getting a new truck in October, so I need to know what I should pay for one. Im looking at an Fx4 or XLT. What options do you guys have, what was the list price, and how much did you get off.
Thanks

I've ordered a 2k10 Screw XLT 4.6 L , 6 spd auto, 5.5 box , 3.73 LS, carpet delete, keyless entry, fog lamps, trailor tow, break controller, rear defroster, heated side mirrors, stowable bed extender. Remember....these are Canadian dollars and generally trucks here are more expensive.
Msrp. $43189
less discount 7000
--------
$36189
$ 3194 -less dealer discount
-------
$32995 (including all admin fees)
$ 1000 -less ford loyalty program
$ 1000 -less Costco member program
-----------
$30995
Rutko....I built my truck on the Ford website and sent it around to 6 area dealers and haggled with them down to this price without even going into a showroom. The winning dealer ordered the truck and didn't even ask for a deposit ...just a handshake

Truthfully
2009 Platinum, all options except cargo management
sticker
$50120
invoice
$44560
A plan
$42620
cash price
$38500
I know this dealer. I used to date the operations manager. She is gone and we are both glad.
I spent a lot of time researching loans, locally and online. I made him run it every way possible, all rebates at 24, 36, 48 and 60 months. I based my decision on total price and cash flow. Did not want to pay cash so I got the A plan with 0% for 60 months and a $1000 rebate.
One thing the dealers like to do is figure all taxes and fees based on your price and then give you / me the rebate on the back end. It adds a few hundred dollars to their profit.
I am happy.
My 2006 King Ranch stickered at $46,000 and I bought it for $36000, the dealer had it as a demo and put a few thousand miles on it. So it is possible to do better.

Some of you guys are getting really good deals on new trucks. I mean 8-10k off the sticker is really good unless I am missing something.
A little tip when buying a new truck is to make sure you have insurance for it ahead of time because of course they won't let you leave without it. If you buy it from the dealership it will cost a lot more and probably won't be the best coverage you could get.
