You will be getting quite a bit off that price. My truck stickered at 43k (a lot more expensive in canada) but I ended up paying 30k.

I walked out of the local dealership a couple of weeks ago with a 2012 FX4 Red Candy Screw with the lux pkg, 20" wheels, running boards, and tailgate step. MSRP was $45,925 and I had the $750 private coupon discussed on prior threads along the standard $4,750 in rebates. I traded my 2011 XLT Red Candy Screw with 8,755 miles, chrome, convenience, plus and trailer tow packages, rear camera, trailer brake controller, 3.55 limited slip axle, keyless entry, and mud guards. It's was also Line-x'd. I loved the truck but just wanted to explore my options. Long story short is that they offered me $31,000 for my truck (I paid 31,500 in Sept '11 - not including TTL or line-x which I did later) . I haggled the FX4 to $40,142 less $5,500 in rebates and my trade the OTD (not including TTL) was $3,642. If I'm doing the math right I got the truck at around $1,200 under invoice. Still not sure how I got this deal but not going to question it. Good luck to you all!

I bought my XLT with the XTR package back in September of 2011.

MSRB: $46,500 Candian dollars including $3,000 tax/gst (So expensive for an XLT)
It came with XLT Package, XTR Chrome Package, 5.0l engine with Max Towing with 3.55 gears(Regret) that have electronic locking I think.
The trucks comes with 4.2' LCD, 6 CD player, CHROME STEP BAR, POWER SIGNAL HEATED MIRRORS, FOG LAMPS, 18″ CHROME CLAD WHEELS, KEYLESS ENTRY KEY PAD, everything but navigation and leather heated seats or fancy stuff)
I got it when it was rebating up to 10,000 dollars and I got all of it
Spent 1 hour with the dealer and he gave me all 10,000 dollar rebate with free oil chnage for life.
My truck is now $36,500 Canadian.
I should of went with a FX4 but oh well love my Truck to death.

Just picked up my new truck yesterday. FX4 Screw 5.0 luxury package with trailer brake, remote start, backup cam, factory bed liner.

$52529 List
$39463 including delivery and fees.
$13066 in rebates here.

Dealers wouldn't haggle the price much so I shopped my trade in around and got admin fees, tri fold tonneau cover and full rubber mats included for free. Not much but I ended up shopping my trade in up $3000 from the first dealer I talked to so I'm happy.

Wow, a lot of good prices here. I'm about two weeks out from a purchase on a '12. (still can't decide between eco or coyote, but that's not why the wait)...I have been pricing out my options on the ford.com website. How close to that price should I be looking to get. BTW I'm in California.

Thanks

Sorry for bringing up an old post, just wanted to explain the situation. Back about 5 years ago, $1 CAD was worth about 66c USD, so car prices were adjusted accordingly. When the economy went down and the dollar became on par, people started buying vehicles in the US. For luxury cars, it could mean up to $30k in savings. Instead of bringing the MSRP's down, the manufacturers started giving huge "discounts" to bring the selling prices down.

I went to a Ford dealership yesterday. They gave me a price over $13k below MSRP without even haggling on a 2012 model F150. $7k in delivery allowance, and over $6300 for the "employee pricing" promotion they have going on. MSRP for this Screw Lariat 4x4 was 54k, they made me an offer at 41k.

Like you said, you get the feeling you're making a great deal, but in reality they're just adjusting their price for the market. And it gives them legs to stand on when negociating.
