I am shopping for a 2013 STX 5.0 4x4. From what I am reading on here I should be expecting to pay about 26-27k. The dealers I have been dealing with are not going below 31-32k. Am I out of my mind thinking I can pay 26 plus ttl? I am in NJ if that makes a difference.

It probably does make a difference; I would think that 27.5K or so would be more realistic as a bottom. What cab config? SC or SCrew? I paid $28.7K (not counting the $4.7K tradein) for the same truck in an XLT SuperCab.

I just paid 26k for a used one with 3k miles on it, in MA, location does matter, as does supply/demand, options, etc

Not sure regarding the STX line but remember this, the longer it is on the dealers lot the longer he pays insurance and interest on it! Assuming you are looking at a super cab, the dealer where I bought my truck has them listed at 29,200 and 29,400. Dealer discount only, no rebates. 201A packages.

29000 is XLT money. You should be around 25 for a fully loaded STX. Just bought a 2013 XLT and had the dealer down to 24500 on an STX

well it didn't take long to talk to them and I think it's a pretty solid deal.

$51200 MSRP, $35k OTD including $6k for trade w/ rubber floor mats and spray in bed liner.

That is what I was thinking. This is my second truck purchase ever and I paid too much for my nissan frontier back in 06. I offered 25k for a loaded stx with decor package and the sales man told me I am thousands off and wouldnt even counter offer.

I paid $45k out the door utilizing the X-plan. Sticker price on my 2013 FX4 with leather, moonroof, navigation, and some other stuff was around $52k. I also have 1.9% for 72 months financing through Ford. Hope that helps.
