Default What bulbs will fit the OEM projectors?

Yes I know the OEM color HIDs will give the most light, that being said I want to replace them with either 6000k or (preferably) LED bulbs. I looked this up and it seems like almost nothing fits the OEM projectors. Are there any LED bulbs that will fit the OEM HID projectors without changing anything major?

Thanks!

Its a D3S projector, so thats the bulb you need. Why you want to go to led in a hid projector is beyond me. TRS has a good selection of bulbs.

I wonder if there's a way to upgrade the oem projector to something of better quality.

TRS sells a projector that uses the same mounting tabs as the OEM one. I believe this is the one.

Sweet. I'll send them a message just to confirm. My main concern is the oem high beam beam pattern. Seems like a lot of light is projected skyward and wasted. I do a lot of night driving on rural roads and I would prefer a forward projection vs vertical.

Sorry for hijacking your post OP!

Keep in mind you'll have to buy a new bulb with the new projector and probably a new ballast.

Yeah I saw that it takes a D2S or something like that.

Do the EVOXR projector upgrade, bulbs and 55 watt ballast. Thats what Raptor Retrofit usually does I believe.

I've researched this as well. You can get a set of D3S LED bulbs (they come with a ballast/driver) that will fit with minor modifications. You have to dremel out the opening to allow a little more room for the bulb to fit through the opening in the headlight. I haven't done this but was told that's all that was required. As far as what others have set about retrofitting, that's also a good option (if you can figure out how to do it properly). It's time consuming and not as easy as it sounds. BUT, from all the changes I've made in headlights, even with LED kits in aftermarket and stock halogen headlights, nothing will be as bright and look as good as HID. LED just isn't there yet (in my opinion).
