I use the escort solo s2. I prefer it because it's wireless but can be wired. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive and has saved my ***** a few times. Save one ticket and it pays for itself. Check reviews on the one you choose. Lots of views on most of them.

lol....and so it begins again....

I prefer the ESCORT brand myself, but you'll get the die-hard Valentine One folk chiming in soon....
The 8500 and the new 9500 series consistently rank at the top of the heap. I kind of like that new Escort iQ with the detector built into a GPS nav system...

Lol agreed. The valentine one is good but on the higher price end. Could be worth it, can't say I've never used one.

Take it from someone who drives 40000 miles per year....Nothing and I do mean NOTHING comes close to a V 1. It not only is a detector, it is more importantly a locator and bogey counter. It is by far in a class by itself.

I was a diehard Bel user and believer for 6 years until I had a friend tell me about his Valentine One. After comparing them for a few weeks I had to buy one and have never looked back for the past 12 years! V1 is #1 IMO.

considering Valentine was an original founder of Escort, but left the company because he knew he could build a better product, i would never get anything besides a V1. I have both the cordless escorts (not a fair comparison because its cordless) and the valentine blows them away. Plus since it uses phone wire, you can hide the wire really well in the truck. it tucks right up under the headliner and down the A piller, down the door and under the dash.

I hate to be redundant, but I gotta go with the V1, I changed from an Escort several years ago, and the V1 is WAY better. Saved me many times what it cost in tickets and insurance "bumps".
