Default What is this?

Sorry for the newbie question but I just noticed a plug to the right of the rear license plate. The cover folds down and when I insert the key and turn it, it comes out and is not connected to anything.

I looked in the owners manual and could not find out what it is. I'll probably have a "duh" moment when you tell me.

Unlocks for your spare tire if I remember right.. it opens up and you use the extension for the jack to unwind it down.

It is where you put your lug wrench to lower your spare tire.

And I hope you never have to use the thing. It is quite an adventure to change a flat on these monsters. You will .

Lol, all perspective! I thought it was one of the easiest. Took me about ten mins start to finish in a parking lot at midnight.
