Default Westin bull bar with winch?

Can a Smittybilt 8000lb winch be mounted to a Westin bull bar? I don't want a huge brush guard or anything, it's more less just to be there to mount a winch on. I haven't seen a setup like this, but I know that bull bar has 2 holes for mounting lights, just thought maybe someone would know about this.

I wouldn't do it. I have a Westin on my truck and I don't think it would hold up very long. They seem to be more for looks and lights than protection or anything else. Mine moves on a rough road, can't seem to get it tight enough.

No, the winch wouldn't even fit. You need a very strong mounting point for a winch.

What would you guys recommend? I don't want anything crazy big, I want it small as possible, with a little protection, basically just something to mount it on.

FYI Rough Country makes a winch mount that tucks between the frame rails.

rough country is nice and needly tucked away, no good for an eco model...either way they both block off the lower opening..

+1 on this.

This is the one I plan to do once I save up my allowance to afford the full race inter cooler.

As mentioned, cannot do this mount on a stock EB, need to replace the inter cooler first with one that mounts higher.

Hey, do you have to cut the bumper or otherwise modify the truck to mount a bull bar on a '13?

Is it just a bolt on?

They usually bolt-on in place of the front tow hooks. I am personally not a fan of them because you sacrifice functionality for looks.

I'm my book, removing winch points on a 4x4 is a big no-no
