Subd...this would be a huge help, it's a PITA to change the date back and forth on my computer every time I need to look something up.

Regedit is the register editor inside of Windows. I believe he's going to describe how to edit the date stamp on the program in Windows via the registry editor in order to get around having to change the system date each time you want to launch this repair manual.

Too technical for me. I thought the program was on the disc. Maybe you can reset the date on the discs in a DVD burner so it doesn't expire until 2099 or something?

I've searched the net and my registry till my eyes bleed, damned if I can find it which sucks if I wanted to change it again. I know I set it to 30 years in the future so I don't think I'll have to unless the SSD gives up the magic smoke.

What I also remember is it's not in an area of the registry that's obvious.

Somewhere in here, \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contr ol\Class\ That's as close as I can remember.

If you dont know what regedit is, DONT SCREW WITH IT.
Anything you change takes effect immediately and changing or deleting the wrong keys could leave you with a blue screen of death.
