I get mine back w oily fingerprints on grille and steering wheel, but no mud underneath. I'm the same way. There isn't a waterspot on my truck, and if it came back with mud up in the wheel wells, i'd be annoyed.

I ask my dealer not to wash it.

Thats just it, even if the dealership offered to clean my truck, they aren't touching it. I've seen the kids with the brushes and buckets swirling all sorts of paint jobs, etc while they wash the new trucks coming in.

Would they do the same with Shelby Mustang? If they think less of truck owners than a Mustang owner, it's time to switch dealers.

I bought a new Grand National GNX in 1987, dealer idiots used brushes on the black, new paint job. basically ruined the clearcoat.

Made them get it buffed and 3 new coats of clear to get rid of the swirls.

I know it's a truck and is designed for off road, but my truck is kept spotlessly clean. I pride myself in seeing a nice shiny underneath as well as the paint.

I call the delaer to complain and they said they are doing construction behind the dealership and that they are sorry. Had I known that they would have driven my truck from the service area, around the dealership in the mud to the service bays, I wouldn't have even gone in then until it was done.

Am I wrong to expect my truck to at least be as clean as when I left it there? It took me a couple hours of pressure washing and cleaning the insides of my wheels, wheelwells, etc. to get it back to where I left it.

Venting done, LOL! carry on.

Hi Team Canada,

I see that Saskia has documented your feedback on Facebook. If you have any other questions, I'm here to help.

My dealer (Pilson auto center) always puts on a steering wheel "hair net," paper on the floor and seat, a mint, and a thank you note

Do you still have the GNX? I have a GN, hence my screen name.

My truck has been to the dealership 3-4 times now. Never once has been washed. Usually is more filthy. Last time I got it back from an unsuccessful rear end fix debacle, I noticed oily fingerprints all over my chrome grill. Lol... It's just horrible.

I don't like when the dealer washes my truck after a service running the risk of scratching it then denying it. I tell them not to wash it and sometimes they do out of habit.
