Hey Norcal I am hoping the 2013 Raptor has some changes to make me want the Raptor. I am still rolling in my 2010 and just can not get a deal on a Raptor with things I dont have for a reasonable price, maybe a 2013 Raptor will make it to my driveway, if were all still alive in 2013.....

Good work norcalman. Thanks for doing some great investigative work on this.
It is all very interesting and I can't wait to see the new rig you will order. Sounds like a good plan you got going. I wonder what the new colors may be and what if any colors will drop off.
Good luck!

Hey, thanks John.
While some here do appreciate the new info and the news on the new MY, it is always interesting to see those with the negative personality and negative comments, no matter what the subject is.
As for me, I am enjoying life right now, great wife, and always a great truck in my driveway.....and she says I can trade every year, if it's what I want to do!

But they will get a lot of bang for their buck and can give their sales a kick in the butt for another year or two. Plus they are trying to keep attention on "new" ford upgrades when GM is rolling out their totally new trucks for 2013. All good marketing moves in my opinion.
I completely agree with this statement, and although I didn't mention it in my first post, this was part of my equation on the Ford '13 model.
They had to do enough, to 'bridge' over to the next big makeover, so as to not lose market share when Chev comes out with their new truck this summer!

As a prospective buyer, this is great information for me. I was going to purchase a late model 2012 in the Fall, but I like the idea of holding off for the 2013; particularly since it will be the last production year before the major refresh. In my past experiences, the model year before a refresh typically comes with very appealing incentives. Additionally, all cars/trucks (usually) have higher reliability in the final model years. I'll let the young hipsters chase the latest and greatest in 2014.

You are correct; and I think I will get the '13, keep it for three years, and that way let them get the initial 'bugs' out of the makeover model in either '14 or '15, whichever year it come out.
