I assume you are referring to my post above yours . . .

Questioning whether Ford is fixing the transmission issue and getting an answer either confirming or denying the fix is far more useful than than what you posted.

Beyond my comprehension? Not quite. My lemon law attorney is negotiating my final settlement arrangement with Ford right now.

Sooo any more info on the 13's or when some info might become available? I was looking for a 12 f150 and the one my dealer had found has a deal working on it and there might be another one but its not even close to us. He asked if I would want to order a 12. But I had been going back and forth with looking for a 12 or ordering a 13. I dont NEED one now but part of me thinks the 12 is light years above my 05 so I would be happy. But if I had to order one now...maybe id wait for the 13. The only thing that really is intriguing me about the 13 is the MFT.

So much for the early ordering of the 2013's.
http://www.donlen.com/buildstart-trucks-ford.aspx
You can see they corrected the first order acceptance date for the 2013's to now coincide with the cutoff of the 2012 ordering deadlines.
Last order date for 2012 = 6/22/12
First order date for 2013 = 6/26/12
Production begins for 2013 = 8/27/12 (this is unchanged)

As I offered in another thread, test driving that new '12 FX4, compared to my '09 XLT, was amazing---and I have always loved my '09!!
I went from an 09 XLT to a 12 FX4. The difference was absolutely remarkable. It really made you scratch your head and ask yourself how two trucks that look so similar could be so drastically different. I absolutely love my FX4. It is one of the most enjoyable and comfortable vehicles I have EVER driven.

That said....I'd wait for a 2013. If they are truly upgrading the headlights to HID's that alone should be worth it. Headlights are probably my only gripe about this truck, which is why I'm somewhere in the neighborhood of $700+ on a retrofit that I'm completing on my truck and it's not factory, no warranty, etc... On the flip side my retro will more than likely have better lighting than whatever Ford offers, anyways.

Other than this 6 week delay on new orders, has anyone heard of any other details on the 13's?

This was true for the 2012 model. I saw a flyer for the 2012 HD with the White Platinum and almost peed my pants. I didn't see the first one until the week before Christmas and it took another three weeks to find a RWD. Mid January was when I finally got mine and it is serial #00007. If you're wanting your truck for Sturgis, stick with what you've already ordered.
