Default Well, It Finally Happened... (Ouchie!)

I had to pick between the dog or wife. As my wife hit a wall yesterday in the FX4, I picked the dog.

..In all seriousness though, I didn't kick her out.

She did hit a wall though. I was upset as any car guy might be, but hey. Stuff happens.

So I took it to the shop to see if I couldn't clean it up a bit.

While I was waiting for the steel to warm up, I took a minute to install my new CravenSpeed stubby antenna. Other than the fact that it took 3 weeks to ship from Portland to Whitehorse, it looks like a nice solid piece that will stand the test of time. I ordered a second one for the '13 that will (one day) show up.

So, a little cleaning wax (crummy Mothers, but it's all I have right now), and it's (mostly) gone. I'll have to get some proper cutting compound but I haven't had a need since my detailing days.

Maybe next weekend.

Yes.. It's just a nagging thing, until it's fixed properly... Which means more cutting compound, more wax, blah blah blah...

Wow! If she has to make a mistake thats a good one, Nice clean up job. How is that antenna, was it easy to remove the stock antennae and put this one on. How much did it cost, I would like to do that on my 2013 never gave it a thought until i just saw yours, that looks so much better.

Cleanup looks good. My wife still hasn't gotten behind the wheel of mine and we've had it over six months.

On yeah, she's fine. It was while parking - thought there was a little more room, there wasn't.

I'll have to bust out the Magic Eraser.

As for the antenna, I paid $48 for two, and I believe shipping to Canada was $10 or so. He'll ship within the lower 48 for free. The reception seems same as stock, but we only have 3 or 4 radio stations here.
