Again, most independent auto repair shops will be able to swap them out for you. I'm surprised your dealer won't do it as it's only struts, not a lift kit. Did you talk to the manager? GM?

You definitely need a wall mount. The coils are very hard to compress. So much so that I myself and others had to finish tightening the bearing plate nut with the weight of the truck on the strut.

But seriously man, if you want to make the drive, we can do it I'm my shop for no cost at all. Just your own fuel to come out.

I'd love an excuse for a road trip and thank you very much for the offer, but I don't think I could work that one.

I just did a google maps search over the St. Louis area and it came up with this place on the north western part of the area. Don't know exactly where you're at, but maybe it's a possibility?

It says they do lifts, alignments, and such on their services page.

Hey man, check out DJ's 4x4 in Granite City Illinois. I know that cant be too far from you if you had work done in Fairview Heights.

DJ's put a lift kit on for me on my 2010 F-250. He does lift kits all day long as well as fix and repair suspensions.

He works on a lot of Fords, provide him with the instructions and I am sure he can do the job.

I went in to the dealership to have an LED in my driver mirror replaced couple weeks ago. They told me it was about a 30 to 45 min job.I arrived at about 8am and I left at 1pm so i know what you mean about mad, whole saturday shot.I know most of the guys at the dealership and for the most part they're all gearheads. The foreman was just on the cover of RPM magazine with his two mustangs. So I asked him while I was there if I bought a level kit with an add a leaf how much the install would be and his response was "what is that".So that reply was enough for me to know I couldn't bring it there.I want to get the kit but don't know anywhere around here that will install....As for the LED it was a wiring problem from the factory, tracing the problem is what took so long.
