Question Welderman

Does anyone know how to remove the skullcaps from the outside mirrors on a 12 or 13 F-150? (without breaking them)

You need to take the mirror glass off and remover the 4 or 5 torx screws to remove the back half of the housing. Go here for instructions on how to pop the glass off. Once the back half of the mirror is removed you will have access to the 4 tabs that hold the cap on. Be very careful when releasing these tabs as they are easy to break. I just got through doing this last weekend when I plasti-dipped mine.
