I'll be looking for a good 93 track tune in the spring. As i have been looking at everyone in the tuning game.
Lund is known for how safe they are. As far as the tune this is what all the big tuners told me

Hey Brent well to be honest you only need one tune for these newer vehicles as the knock sensors and other electronics will pick up on the fuel quality/driving style of the driver and optimize your performance for regular or premium fuel. Our tuning for these newer 5.0 trucks is awesome, you gain approx 40 HP at the engine along with better throttle repsonse, shifting, fuel economy, and more torque

I ASSUME since they are flex vehicles they are able to figure out what fuel you are running and adjust timing automatically just like if you were running e85. thats why they suggest they dont need multiple tunes for towing/daily/race etc. Since it learns your style and adjusts.

I wont mess with the canned tunes personally. Ill install the custom tune. Data log. Send the log back to them. jon will look over it. If anything needs to be adjusted they would make adjustments and email the tune back. Reload it. Data log one more time and have them confirm its good and be on my way.

I have not talked to leathal or lund about tunes. I do worry though about making sure the tune is optimal for me and my needs. I know that some of the major players tuning these trucks will tell you Do Not tow with some of tyere tunes.....i'm guessing there is a reason. Personally wth all the effort and rigs that 5star have, and r&d i would guess that they know what they are doing with tow tunes.
Not knocking lund or leathal. But they are "newer" guy on truck tunes. Just really questioning the 1 tune theory thats all.
Happy tuning

Yea there isn't much on this forum or any others for that matter about the lund etc. Nothing really on YouTube either. So I plan on making a thread with my opinions on it. As Well as some before and after videos. Coming from the mustang world I'm curious to see how Well the f150 performs overall with the tune

I just went and searched all the reputable tuners for the mustang world. And through there websites looking whats available.
You may also consider MPT & VMP Tuning. Worth looking into unless you have your heart set on leathel. Btw i hear the coyote on a e85 tune is just plain sick.
