2011 xlt super cab interior noises
I have a 2011 xlt super cab with the interior convience pakage. Out of no where the the truck want's to make noises like it has 150000 miles on it. Wondering if anyone has tips on fixes with out taking it to the dealer(which they will make it worse lol). First off noise happens 40 degrees and below. The dash sounds like a styrofoam cooler, every little bump it squeaks below 40 degrees, above temperature wise it is quiet. Then Ive started to notice alot of crackling noises from the vents when first turning on the heat. Once I drive for about then minutes the noise in the vents goes away. Almost sound like something is rubbing?? Other than that the truck is great

The crackling sound is the heat causing the plastic to contract and expand....or one or the other. In other words it is normal. Just another great thing about cheap plastic in modern cars today. Both of my previous trucks did it.

Yea I kinda figured, I know its a truck and they make noises but I can only turn the radio up so loud lol. Thanks for the reply!

I don't have any of those sounds in mine and I start the morning out below freezing and end the day in the 50's sometimes. I have almost 14k on the truck.
