The 3.7 is everything I've ever wanted in my truck engine. No stupid v8 sound or excessive fuel use. I get a nice quiet and smooth ride but I also can tow my 5k lb camper.

"The new engine supposedly makes use of asymmetrical turbos to generate 320 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque "

"this V6-engine will have a block made of CGI. Compacted Graphite Iron , the same material that is used in the Super Duty 6,7 l V8 diesel"

Yep. Different strokes for different folks. Personally I like the looks of my XLT, I guess we're not chrome haters like most people on this forum. Another thing I don't understand is that whole blacked out craze that's going on these days.....

I will hold judgement til i see it in person. I didnt like the magazine shots of the new mustang but when i saw real photos I was in love. But I think it looks too Superduty which is the wrong direction for the F150. It does look Tundra like though.

Coming from a lifted 4x4 10 mpg, 5.7l v8 to a 3.7 v6, I agree. All I really need and wish I had my gas money back from the old truck. I'm excited for the smaller Eco engine.

Agreed, even my friends that are in bed with GM & Dodge said the Atlas would have been a head turner for sure. I'm embarrassed to send them a pic of this truck.

That said I'm going to hold my breath until I see an FX, Limited, KR or Platinum.

im more interested in the weight savings with the aluminium and how that affected the fuel economy.

as far as the 2.7 goes. 320 380 seems rather high. if thats true that means the engine line up would be

3.5na 5.0 2.7 then 3.5 eco as the premium engine.

what im saying is the 2.7 would eat the 5.0's lunch with those figures. yes it has a tad less hp, but the torque is right up there with the 5.0, and being a turbo that should have a pretty flat torque curve peaking low in the powerband. also being a 2.7 suggest it would have noticeably better fuel economy.

unless they upgraded the 5.0 and 3.5 ecoboost for 2015. ready for all the juicy specs.

First time I have ever heard stupid & V8 sound used together in the same sentence. Are you a Nissan Leaf owner, that just happen to "need" a truck?
