Honestly, none of this really bothers me at all. Whatever truck you have (year, generation, style, etc) ... as long as you are happy with it, who cares how it's "classed" on a forum or otherwise?
I absolutely LOVE my 2014, and (like others) bought it specifically because I have no real desire for a '15. Once the new models have bugs worked out, and little style tweaks have been made over a couple of year productions, I may very well be wanting one. But until then, I will have a HUGE smile on my face every time I get to drive my 2014.

Time to re-up a $50k loan for a new 15 FX4 so I can be in the "present" section!
No thanks. Like my truck as is. Some people out there just can't stand not having the newest model vehicle, hence why leasing is so popular these days. I used to swap rides every 3 years because I wanted the newest possible. But now that I'm older and pay a ridiculous daycare bill, not in my plans.

Nothing at all wrong with wanting to have the latest-greatest out there. No shame in that either. We are all different, and want/need our trucks for different reasons.
That's why I don't get concerned with the "classification" of my truck. The only thing the forum groups are for (as far as I'm concerned) is to segregate posts/threads making it easier to navigate the forum and find what you're looking for.
I like my truck, want my truck, and need my truck - just as it is. I got exactly the one I wanted, and have it outfitted pretty much exactly how I want/need it. I can only hope that no matter who you are or what truck you have, that you're as happy with it as I am with mine.

I'm happy to be in this section until I move the the '18 or '19 Raptor section. Bought my '14 to avoid the new redesign issues if any and the new looks have not grown on me yet.

After coming from a plethora of Brick nose and OBS 1/2 and 3/4 ton Fords I'm content being here. This is my first truck that wasn't built in the 80s or 90s. Plus I still don't much care for the 15's looks which is one of the reasons I made sure to get a '14.
