Water leak on passenger floor board
#14
There is a TSB on this issue. Basically the gasket were the condensation drain comes through the firewall has lost its ability to seal. The water follows the drain back to the housing, then drips to the inside on the carpet. The fix is to pull the wheel liner and silicon around the drain nipple to the firewall. The other problem is the nipple is too short. I added a piece of 7/8th tubing to mine to get it to drain a little further out!
Good luck!

It it's just putting RTV around the drain that's easy enough. The tubing you used is it 7/8" inner or outter diameter? I might add the RTV and tube with a 90* elbow on it to put an end to this.

I keep seeing check the ac drain on all these searches but have yet to find a picture of where this drain is.
Anyone have a picture? Can someone take a picture a circle it?
I have searched all the ford forums and google. I found one picture but it was on the older trucks.
Where the hell is this drain on a 2012 screw?

I have an 09 platinum. Carpet wet on both sides
Can anyone tell me where the drain tube is on a 09 platinum with a 5.4. I can not find it on firewall , if I drive down the road with Ac on I get wet feet when I turn left. The 5.4 is so tight to the firewall there is no room to check

Location of condensation drain
Sadly the easiest way is to crawl under the truck on the passenger side near the front tire and look at the firewall just about directly above the catalytic converter. another way is to stick you phone behind the engine and snap a blind pic of the firewall. You ought to be able to see it. The "official" way is to jack up the front tire and remove it. Then remover the passenger inner fender well. Gotta say that's a royal pain! When you are under the truck, there is a gap under the fender well big enough to get your arm through. Might be big enough to apply the RTV if needed.
