if you have the moon roof
the passenger side drain tube has been found to be PINCHED by the visor bracket that is under the headliner
and the tube is also NOT plugged into the drain tube fitting on the forward corner...
we found out at 77 mph in driving rain at 6k feet IT WAS freaking COLD water pouring in on my wife
its an easy fix, but ......

Yeah- I do not get why the high brake light/exterior bed light is dne the way it is. I have not had a leak (yet) but I installed Sylvania bulbs which give a whiter brighter light and noticed how open the area is when you remove the light fixture. You can actually see the headliner. What happened to simply having a closed area and a grommet for the wire. You can't tell me tht Ford did not see a potential problem with this arrangement. Torque the screws too hard or too little and you have a leak given the modest gasket. And what are the two holes for inside the opening????

Third Brake Light Gasket
I don't know of any factory updated brake light. I didn't have any leaks but I've read the numerous tales of woe re: leaking brake light on this forum. I considered sealing it with silicone but that would hinder future removal for bulb replacement, etc.
I removed the CHMSL (Center High Mounted Stop Lamp), made a template of the existing gasket and cut an additional gasket out of 3/16 in. closed cell foam. I placed that over the existing factory gasket, doubling the thickness of the original gasket and reinstalled the light. Testing with a focused stream of water (more than you'd expect from car washing or mother nature) and no leaks. One less thing to be concerned about.
I saved the template and have extra gasket material left over. Send me a PM and I'll help you out.

I've had my truck for just over a year and it's been raining for about two days and I have water dripping from the grab handle on the passenger side. I'm calling the dealer on Monday....anyone have the TSB # for this?
