Water leak in cab
#121
Have 2010 King Ranch and have lived the water torture for years , 1st after the 1st year of owning I noticed the blackened water stain next to my rear drivers seat head rest, went through 3 dealer tests, no water, but would leak in wind driven rain. It was 100% the third break light. 3 replacements and 3rd was the revised gasket.....still leaked. The 4th was siliconed sealed and stopped leak by dealer but after a year looked bad due to discoloration. ( also had rear leather replaced 3 times ). Finally said screw it and installed a Recon 3rd brake light and sealed with black silicon just to be safe. No issue in last 2 years. After 3 years got front passenger pillar leak out grab handle for the 1st time, went to dealer , they resealed satalite antenna and never reoccurred.
( found that a big problem on the 3rd break light is that due to the light guage screw clips used to secure the lense, is that if slightly overtightened they fail and not enough pressure is applied to they gasket , therefore not sealing ). Basically a 2 cent clip causing a lot of B.S. for too long.

Dealer put a new windshield in today, and showed me the gap in the seal in the old one. No wonder it was leaking. Had a gap about a quarter inch wide in the sealant around the top of the windshield.
We'll see if that fixed it since we have a huge snowstorm coming in the next few days.
