Default Power Moonroof Yes or No, why?

Hello all,
Debating on getting new truck with a moonroof. Just wanted to ask the good & bad of having a moonroof?

-Why or why not you got a moonroof.
-Any issues? (I've read of motors locking up)

Thanks

I love mine! I at least have it tilted to vent if not open everyday. No issues here!

My 2009 had a power moonroof and my '11 will. It's nice to be able to open and enjoy the fresh air. No issues with the '09.

I've always heard they leaked. I haven't had that problem with the Honda I have. I had a Toyota 4Runner with a moonroof and it used up too much headroom and my head touched the headliner.

I've had them in my 01, 04 and now my 09 F150 and zero issues whatsoever (except my 01 had a gray cloth cover but it had a tan headliner).

I like mine, 10 screw. I wouldn't worry about the head room on the ford unless you're 6'5+. I'm about 6'2". I test drove a new Tundra with a sun roof before I got my f150, and only had an inch or so of head clearance. In my wife's old pathfinder it actually rubbed my hair.

No issues with the sunroof in my 11' fx2. The only thing I don't like is the slide cover is flimsy as all heck and can make noise buckin around on rough freeways. Also sounds like it's gonna fall off if you leave it open when closing the doors. Also I noticed the headliner shakes pretty violently on fairly bumpy roads, which probably leads to the noise I'm hearing from the slide cover.

Other than that I love my moonroof. Heck it's almost mandatory in Southern Cal.

Cool thing is if you get the sliding rear window, if you open both of them you get this cool cyclone wind effect in the cabin that's awesone on a hot day.

Yeah, like it really gets "hot" in Carlsbad, CA, 50' from the ocean!?

Try the Sacramento Valley in August when it is 107-110; all you want is the AC on MAX; no moonroof for me!
