Sounds like they're making them even cheaper than the previous generation. I have a 2007 that required new rotors at 55k, my 2001 needed new rotors at 90k and the rotors on my 95 were factory with 155k only required some refinishing at 120k. Just don't build em like they used to.

I have had rotor problems with every 150 I've ever owned from 1979 on. The single piston calipers are just a bad design that ford will not get rid of ( cause hot spots and un even pad wear). Don't know if my 11 still has the single pistons. But it defiantly has the brake shimmy

Yep. New rotors and brakes here. At about 23,000 miles.

Mine are definitely warped as well, just outside of warranty coverage. Pretty disappointed as I don't consider myself hard on the brakes. However, I do tow a boat and have a few family road trip vacations under our belt where I first noticed the shimmies coming down the mountains. I'll resurface them next time in, just wonder how long til it comes back.

The trailer break control adjust how much your pads touch your rotors for the rear, when I first go my truck I was messing around left it on level 6.It will activate with a trailer or no trailer, pressing the minus button to level 0 will turn it off.

Jsut a quick question...how do you REALLY know the rotors are warped? Symptoms that mimic a warped rotor are not always from an actual warpped rotor. the majority of the times it is the fact that the brake pads were pushed past their limit...either hauling, long braking down hills, etc. this will heat a pad past its max operating temperature. When this happens the brake material will chemically adhere to the rotor creating high and low spots....when these high and low spots then pass through the caliper and pad it will create a pulsing feel. Solution is to get higher temp pads.

My truck has 14k miles and I just took mine into get done, was told at first they only cover to 12k but they ended up covering them anyways, it is weird because I have an identical work truck with 30k miles and way harder driving and its brakes are perfect and friend has a 2011 with 70k and brakes are fine too!!

Can you provide some information to support this statement?

My trailer brake does not activate when the trailer is disconnected no matter what setting its adjusted to.

I don't think the TBC does anything with the truck brakes. It sends a electronic signal according to brake input on the truck and applies the trailer brakes accordingly.

I have a 2010 and when my trailer is disconnected I can pull the slider going down the road and nothing happens except for a message that trailer is disconnected. I think your info is wrong.

I have 26,000 miles on mine and my brakes are great, I do 90% city stop and go with towing once or twice a month. I have heard of calipers getting corrosion on the slide pins and it won't let the caliper center and eats the roter causing a warped feeling.

2010 FX4 with 53,000 miles, I have had 35's since 6,000 miles and I'm not even half way worn down on the front pads I also tow periodically. Maybe they changed material in 2011?
