Default Warped rotors already

5500 miles on my 2011 FX4 and the annoying shake and shimmy when braking especially going downhill. Off to the dealer I go for a resurfacing.

Anyone else experiencing this so early?

Nope..... 8,500 miles and brakes are in good working order.

Good luck

Mine had to be re-surfaced at 14k due to bad vibrations.

Had the same thing. Truck has 11,700 and 1 day before the anniversary purchase date. Dealer said they cover this for the 1st year or 12k miles. They turned the rotors and no more shaking. I noticed it a while back but for some unknown reason I decided to take it in finally (without knowing about the 1yr/12k thing) but sure glad I did when I did. No charge!

You can warp your rotors when you go through a water puddle and they are hot, either from braking while your going through or braking right before..

TBC won't do that. It only regulates level of power going to electric trailer brakes.

Thanks Guys. This isn't the first new hehicle I've had do this. I don't tow and I do light hauling with the business. Haven't gone through any heavy rain or anything of the sort, so not sure why this would happen.
