Guess you would have to live in a city to understand.

I formerly lived in larger population centers most of my life and understand "boulevard mentality" where form follows function. Hey, its all good and its to each to dispose of discretionary income as they see fit. I too have wasted $$ as seems have you in pursuit of a notion. OK, I'm done now...

I will say thank you Rnlcomp for your review on this subject. I too was wanting fogs to match my hids. On a different note. I think I need to add you to my ignore list as well due to the fact you keep making me spend more $ on my truck. Yes I saw your Christmas gift post as well. Lol

MCDavis ... Hoen bulbs are about as close as I've seen a halogen match the HID color.
What's the part # for the Höen Xenonmatch bulb that would the replace the OEM 9140?

EDIT: DOH! Already answered ...

Since it snows a lot out this way... I'm curious if I should go with the YELLOW fog bulb for better visibility? I have stock halogen bulbs and housing, and can't justify spending $800+ to upgrade to HID housing/bulbs/ballast at this time. Has any of you guys/gals had experience with the yellow bulb in their fog housing?
Thank in advance!

In my '06 I ran Philips X-treme power heads and a standard 9145 fog bulb. That's about as good as I could find without a retrofit. Slightly yellowish but damn bright. Stock fogs are 9140 so the 9145 is a 5 watt increase and it's noticeable and safe for the round housings. Should be able do get both pair for well under $100 total.

I recently replaced my factory fog bulbs with a 5K LEDs and they are an exact match to the HID headlights. Just as bright as OEM, and definitely improved the look. $60
