interesting. I'm glad I found this thread. Doing RNL's video I was able to get my code. I have the card that I swear the code worked on because i even programmed my own 5 digit code after doing my interior swap and installing the MFT sync 2 screen. A couple months ago I hit delete on the code on the screen and my factory code wouldn't work. Now doing this trick I got the code, which is different from the card number...

Using this code I was able to "add" a new code. What's weird is that it accepted said code but that code didn't work. Now when I enter the code that comes up on the screen it doesn't acknowledge it! ha. I'm sure it has to do with my forscan settings or something. Either way the factory code and comes up with the key trick works great.

I found out about this after I bought my truck. Had called dealer but they wanted $80. Popped the panel, put the number in, and magic.

Thanks Shank! Found the code by pulling the fuse panel cover and voila, there it was. Also found my son-in-laws code on his 2016 Expedition. Again, thank you for posting this info.

Worked like a charm and the dealer wants to charge to get the code, ridiculous.

I still do not understand why I need a keypad with buttons on my keys. Redundant. Eyesore.

So you've never locked your keys in a car? Or needed to get in it when you didn't have your keys? I find it very useful and is one of my favorite Ford features.

But If you really don't like, you can just replace the door handle surround with a regular one and unplug it.
