Vibration from 0-5mph towing

I have a 2013 f150 ecoboost quad cab. 3.55 axel. This past weekend I was towing my camper for the first time. About 8000lb fully loaded. From stopped to 5mph I have vibration that shakes the whole truck. Dealer said that they have not ever heard of that happening and were going to see what they could find out about it and get back to me. Does not do it when towing lighter weight or unloaded. Anyone else with this issue. I'm thinking motor mounts or gears slipping.

This vibration is more common than your dealership has led you to believe. Use the search function here for "towing vibration" or a variance of that and you should find others who have had this happen to them and the solution.
I believe there is an adjustment in the angle of the driveshaft and the u-joints that they can make to get rid of this....but again -- reading about others who have had this happen should give you LOTS more information when you go back to your dealer.....good luck with this -- its got to be a pain to have this happening.

one guy in the towing section has been testing everything left and right to fix this problem. I think he has it narrowed down now.

cant find it now but I know its around here some where. He said the raptor shackle helped the most. Not sure what it means but its a start and the road master active suspension. turned up to 3 mm instead of 2

The good news is your gears and transmission isn't slipping. The bad news is, what your feeling is axle wrap. When the spring flattens out with a heavy load it is easier to bend it like a S than when there is no load on it. Some folks have had good luck adjusting pinion angle while for others not so much and it can also move the vibration to a different speed. I installed the Roadmaster Active Suspension on my truck because it was bad. It didn't totally eliminate the wrap it is better. So folks have had good luck with airbags too. Really it boils down to the rear springs are too weak but ford was able to get a car-like ride out of them.
