I have a Platinum EB and it weighed 6220 with a full tank, WD hitch, 2 empty car seats and no passengers. The hitch and car seats are about 100# total.

Weird... Your plates are based on weight and not the vehicles purpose? That's so bizarre

Commercial plates here, and I've still got nice white plates too, not those hideous yellow things that look like they are from the late 70's.

I assume you must live downstate? That's the only reason to care... Can't go on the Parkways with a commercially registered vehicle.

On the MCO paperwork from ford there will be an official weight, iirc mine was well over 5500. I'd still push the issue with the dealer - I suspect it's all in how they fill out the paperwork.

for me to get passenger plates, being over the weight limit of 5500lbs, i'd have to put a cap on, permanently mount seats and seat belts in the truck bed. im not using it for commercial purposes. but this is NYS here. i had pass plates on my f250 psd that i thought i could transfer on to new truck. dealer says new 150 is over the weight limit. so i guess ill have to get comm plates, wait for perm reggie to arrive in mail, then go down to dmv to switch back to pass plates, telling them i put a cap on the bed, like i did last time to get pass plates on my f250.
