Do you need to remove spark plugs on a 3.5 turbo to remove valve cover

No, the plugs can stay in. Pulling the valve cover would probably be easier with the coil packs out though.

They're pretty stuck on. I had to feed a long pry bar through the wheel well to get the back off. The rtv for the front cover to head doesn't help.

I got it off. Missed a bolt front lower by boost tube. Still was stuck. Thank you for your help
