Default I hate my seats! Swap?

New here, my 2012 f 150 with power seats is about to cripple me. I sat in the previous gen. truck and think a seat swap might be in the cards. something from a 2007 or 06 , how hard is a swap?

im almost positive that the seats will bolt right in in the front, though im not sure about the seat harnesses.. they should be the same tho. the back seats would be a huge pain in the *** to swap, if its even possible

Just curious..... Why you say they're about to cripple you?

Probably because its like sitting on a park bench! Lol
If the 07-13 silverado's had cooled seats as an option I would have already swapped my f150 seats for silverado seats.

I feel like there's something wrong if you think the 2012 seats are way less comfortable than 04-08 seats

Agreed.
Came to the Plat from a leather trimmed 2006 FX4. These new seats are leaps and bounds more comfortable than the 2006. The 10 way power adjust-ability helps quite a bit, but honestly the seating surface itself is a major improvement since 2006.

EDIT:
Didn't address the question.
I do not believe that the tracks from the 2004-2008 trucks will bolt up to the new truck. You would likely have to deconstruct the seat from the frame bottom. Can it be done? Sure...anything is possible with the right amount of time and money.

My F-150 seats are literally the most comfortable seats I've ever planted my *** in.

The 04-08 seats will not bolt in. I've seen them side by side and they have different a different track design with different bolt areas.

What model do you have and what seats. We had an 13 XLT out they were killing the wife, mediocre to me. 13 FX4 which we bought are great wish I could have afforded the next step up, the 10 way powers are friggin awesome and the Plat seat are to die for.
You don't need to go older to find great seats. start looking for wrecked upscaled truck seats.

What exactly is uncomfortable, OP? I'm not the only one that thinks ya might be crazy! If you're a larger guy, maybe this seat needs to be broken in to better fit yer curves? Other than that, tight new seats are much more comfortable. I've got a bad back (3 bad disks), and my 06 XLT's cloth seats are fine, but the newer ones are much better IMO.

I blew my back out about 3.5 years ago. Before I blew my back out I never had an issue with my 06 XLT cloth seats. After the blow out I couldn't sit in the 06 XLT seats for more than 1 hour without having to get out and stretch my back. With my '11 cloth seats in my FX4 I can drive for several hours without having to get out and stretch my back.
