Far better is a bit of a stretch. Have you towed with both? A 2011 XLT with Max tow felt a bit better off the line and held gear a bit better than my 2011 5.0l. The weights were around 5k. If you tow heavy and at altitude the 3.5l would be a better choice. If you tow under about 8k the 5.0l does a very good job. Especially for the middle size motor that it is.

If you out tow the 6.2 then you are probably exceeding the Max tow limit.

As for sound, the 6.2 with a good exhaust is a God in the sound department.

Managed to drag the 6.2 into it. It takes a special kind of chutzpah to do that.

The OP asked about the EcoBoost vs V8. The 6.2 is a V8 last time I checked

Has anyone determined which is better? 5.0 or Eco?
