First off I would like to thank Solo Performance for taking on the task of making a thought come to Reality. Thanks BoostedFitz for lending them your rig to make the exhaust system. Also thanks to Jeff and Steve at Solo Performance. Just got a call from Jeff today and he said they tried 30 different Configurations and finally got it right. At first he said it sounded like a lawnmower but now it sounds like a V8!! Those guys are amazing and will be posting a video in the next week. Just wanted to update everyone on the forum that the exhaust is coming in the next few weeks. They have two different designs

1. Single pipe with 4 inch tip that sounds like a beast
2. Duals that come with 2.5 inch tips - a little more aggressive

None of these have drone and are really quiet at highway speeds but at WOT you will hear the beast come out. Of course I ordered the duals. =)

It'll be interesting to hear them. I'm only 40 minutes away, so, if I like the sound I may go for the duels.

Progress has been fantastic on the EcoBoost! As Pongdadong said, we will have two offerings for this truck. They have a fantastic sounding exhaust note on the outside...really deep and aggressive, while maintaining no drone on the interior. After trying many different combinations and product, we have gotten it right and are very pleased with the exhaust note both inside and outside. This truck was a beast. Getting the sound and tone to where we wanted it proved to be difficult, because what sounds great on the exterior doesn't always sound good on the interior. We were able to get the best of both worlds. I will post updates, but I am sure everyone will be very pleased with what we have created. Thanks again for letting us borrow the truck for a few days in order to get it right and bring this community a fantastic exhaust for the EcoBoost!!

Video clips ASAP. Really interested my Eb needs some *****.. Stock exhaust feels like I'm driving a neutered truck haha. I'll be going for the duals also

Are the duals going to be straight out the back or the sides? I would prefer sides on my ride.

I drove the truck yesterday. I work with boostedfitz. Single exhaust is on the truck right now. Sounds decent looks awesome. You can really hear the exhaust when you tip your toe into it. Just cruising it is a very respectable sounding unit. The duals are getting put on next week. So we'll see what they sound like.

Sorry for not posting sooner. I think everyone is going to be very pleased with the forthcoming offerings from Solo Performance. They had my truck for three days, and what Jeff and his very talented crew were able to produce is fantastic. They tell me they had quite the challenge as our beloved Ecoboost has a terrible natural harmonic. Thankfully this is Solo's Forte. Making the best out of what they are given to work with.
When you deal with These folks you really feel like your dealing with a family business who cares. It's very refreshing to know that there is still businesses out there that puts the customer first, each and every time. Jeff kept me in the loop daily with progress reports as the fabricated. He certainly didn't have to do that.
Well that's enough of me pumping Solo's tires!! On to the business at hand!
Currently on the truck is the single setup. I'm going to let them talk specifics, but it's big (think lots of 4" stainless pipe, not just the tip), it's beautiful, and sounds badass. I really hope the sound transfers to video well as we all know this is not always the case. The interior exhaust note at highway cruise is spot on. It lets you know it's not messing around when you stand on it as well. I haven't had the chance to do much listening on the outside yet, but Jeff did some passes by me the other day, and it was killer. Myself, I can not call it a V8 note, but that is not to take anything away from the way it sounds. Deep, ballsy, brassy tone. I can report no drone or harsh frequencies inside as of yet. I believe they used sound frequency meters inside to focus in on what needed to be eliminated. On top of this performance is noticeably improved, and it's looking like there will be about a 1 mpg boost in mileage. I'll know better next week when I'm back to driving my normal route.
I haven't experienced the dual setup yet, but am told the sound is quite similar but a little more vinegar on the chips, if you follow. I will definitely post after I try it out as they have to do some final fitting of the production version.
As a final word, let me say that if it sounds like myself and my friend Dave from Kansas are on the payroll at Solo, I assure you I'm not. Not sure about Dave though! It's just hard not to be infected with the excitement and passion they have for what they do. Call them and you'll know what I mean.

And to my friend Farmerdukes who posted about driving my truck...when he says we work together, what he means is there is a place we both show up and fool them into a paycheque every week. Sometimes that is hard work!!

Fitz
