Yeah, they didn't make many 6.2-powered F-150s, and I'm pretty sure most of them were Raptors. IIRC, while the 6.2 was available in the F-150, the product mix was something like 45% Coyote, 45% EB35, and the remaining 10% was split between the 6.2 and 3.7.

The problem with looking for a 6.2 online, like someone else said is there isnt really a way to refine a search, and then I have noticed lately looking online that some dealers will in fact list it as a 6.2 and then when you look at the engine pic, its a 5.0

If I'm not mistaken, the 6.2 trucks didn't have flex fuel capability. So, you could sort your search by "8 cylinder" engines only, then glance at the photos to look for the "Flex Fuel" badge on the tailgate. If it's a V8 with no badge, it's probably the 6.2.

They also have a "6.2L" badge down low on the door.

Really? In the words of the late, great Johnny Carson, " I did not know that". The PO did various minor mods and customization touches, so he must've done the door badges.

Craigslist might be the least difficult. I think the lack of Flexfuel badges might be part of it. But that's also a thing some owners remove.

Only way to know is to open up the hood!

As already stated, F150 equipped with 6.2L are "sleepers" with no identifying badges whatsoever. Lack of Flex Fuel on tailgate being only clue.

Its been over 3.5 yrs but I don't recall 6.2L being available in XLT trim for final 2014 model year. Using FoMoCo online build configurator back then, choices were very limited to achieve 6.2L in combo with S-Cab plus MaxTow pkg. Although I like FX4 PTM bumpers, I'd otherwise chosen XLT for practicality of chrome plus significantly better factory incentives offered at end of model year (mine arrived July 2014). Searching dealer inventory online at that time flushed out a few 6.2L in Platinum trim (only available as S-Crew). Mine built as 1-off config unlikely would been ordered for dealer inventory. Hey, it suits me!

Edit: Just now pulled up a 2014 F150 sales brochure which does confirm 6.2L available on XLT, however not in the S-Cab config I wanted. Also available in Lariat and Platinum, although neither of those built in S-Cab thus my decision to order FX4 was easy. BTW, cost of 6.2L option on FX4 was $2140 MSRP above standard equipment 5.0L V8. Considering that, I doubt many XLT were built with 6.2L since that was considered just one step up from base XL trim...

I have a 2016 5.0l f150 and i love the engine, i have drove my friends 2015 3.5l ecoboost many times and i just dont like the feel of the ecoboost and for towing i would way rather have the 5.0l. Tride and true.
