Used Canadian F150's flooding the US market?

I imported mine myself from Canada about 9 months ago. Had the options I was looking for (window sticker says Special Order) and saved over $6000 compared to what local sellers were asking.
Truck was treated underneath and had the right miles. I'm in New England, so road salt is everywhere. Still has kph/mph cluster (private party import = no need to change dash).
With the exchange rate, as long as you have the time, and are willing to put in the effort, it's a great way to save on a used car. Treat it just like any other used car purchase; just a few extra hoops to jump through for the import process.

If you show up without having your ducks in a row, be ready to spend some quality time with CBP straightening out the mess YOU created.
Not directed at you Mike, just others that might do this. You obviously had your act together.

My 2013 was already in the US when I bought it, it originally came out of New Brunswick.
I am actually going to either get an replace or get the parts and repair my speedo. Mine is missing the FX on the Tach and the Marks going around the speedo match the Kilometer and not the MPH. For some reason that bothers me

My 2012 Platinum Screw 6.2 with 6.5ft bed came from Canada as well and I have to change the units on the cluster every time I load a tune. Only the digital readouts change. My truck must have been owned by a contract manager or someone in the construction business. I have a ton of rock chips on the front bumper and tiny ones on the windshield. The bed has a liner which when I bought the truck had nails and tiny shards of glass in it. Also the underneath is coated but had an insane amount of dirt but it was like clay as I made a hell of a mess the first time I cleaned it.

My truck is a 14 fx4 built in Kansas sold in Canada shipped back to the states where I bought it in mass. Underside looks good had a few body repairs that I have found but has regular fx US cluster runs and drives great plus it came with a bonus block heater lol.. (don't ever see myself having to use it)
One very important thing for everyone to remember is that here in the states is, if you looking to do factory warranty work cause your within time and miles it will not happen your factory warranty is VOID.
This work out in my advantage in a way. The used lot I purchased my truck from I made a deal with them to put a aftermarket warranty on it for 3 years additional 100k for free.
The Canada buy can work to your advantage if you know what your buying. Remember free block heater

When I was looking for my current truck, probably 4 out of every 5 trucks I looked at were from Canada in the price range I was searching.
I was looking for a specific set of options, and looked at quite a few before I found my 2013.
I really wanted a Supercrew with a 6.5ft bed, but I settled for a Supercab, and in hindsight, I'm glad I did.
My 97 was a Supercab, so I didn't really give anything up, but I don't think I could get my boat backed in to the yard with the extra length of the SC if I had found want I wanted.
The one I ended up getting was a US truck, and reasonably local.
