Hey guys, not really sure how to mess around with pictures and links but I made a little album here (http://imgur.com/a/8LnoP#5) which shows how to turn your usb port into a power port for a gps.

This looks much cleaner than running a 12V line from the cigarette plug, and a little easier then tapping into an existing power line as well. I unplugged the first usb (the normal sync one) in order to make this happen, but it's worth it. The auxillary headphone jack down near the cupholders still works and the gps powers on automatically after a minute or so. The USB2 functionality still works the exact same.
