Default USB trim for new car audio

2011 F150 Supercrew. Replaced OEM radio with new touchscreen Apple Car Play. I want it to look like it came from the factory! Does anyone have recommendations? I want to plug my white USB cord into the dash. Pics below.

Current setup

Microsoft sync USB cable (OEM)

Plugging into Apple car play device

Pretty sure I saw a thread elsewhere on this forum where the poster left the dash panel & connector stock. He then spliced a USB cable with the appropriate (USB) connector for his head unit onto the other end of that cable.

grooves in hard plastic created by pressing cable into dashboard trim piece

Deepen grooves with hacksaw

This solved it. Pretty solid connection.
