Default USB question

My brother has a 2013 STX Regular cab. He has the standard 4" screen, not the 8" My Touch system. Does his truck play music from a USB thumb drive? If not, what has to be done to allow him to play music from a USB drive I plan to give him?

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. I appreciate it.

My 2013 XLT is the same setup and plays music that I put on a USB drive. It should recognize it and be under the aux input settings.

Well....is there a USB port anywhere? If so try it. There should be an input setting. Check the manual.

I guess it's safe to assume his truck will play the music regardless of the system he has. Thanks for the replies thus far.

It should just index the drive like any other drive, assuming the drive maker didn't put some weird embedded OS on it.
