I have a problem with my USB on my 2011 that the dealers can't seem to figure out. I have my music on stick drives. Sometimes when I command USB they recognize. A lot of times it says no USB device found yet if I remove the stick drive it says USB removed on the display. The sticks are formatted fat32. I have run disk checks on them for bad sectors on the computer and have check that all categories of the music files are entered. I even tried putting the music of each artist in individual folders. I'm out of answers. I've had problems with this sync system from day one with different problems and keep it updated. What a pin in the butt it is.

 

I'd request a new SYNC module.

 

i had this same problem usb stick would work sometimes then not others. i tried several different memory sticks and finally i got a lexar 8gb stick, it works like a charm i havent had an issue since.

 

My weird USB issue on my 2013 MFT is that just about every time I get into the truck, it defaults to the USB and starts to play the first song on the USB stick. I may have been streaming Pandora or listening to the Sirius or radio, but when I start the truck, the USB starts to play. Getting tired of that first song!
